It was Bill Alfonso who sought Mil Muertes out. After hearing whispers of a monstrous fighter leaving a trail of destruction in Mexico, Alfonso traveled south to witness him firsthand. What he saw changed everything: Mil Muertes singlehandedly dismantling three fighters in a deathmatch, not just winning, but making it clear his opponents would never compete again. Alfonso, ever the opportunist, saw in him the perfect weapon to dominate ECW.

In ECW, Mil Muertes arrives with one mission: to bury the so-called "extremists" and claim ECW as his graveyard. For him, ECW isn't hardcore enough it's too full of desperate men clinging to their mortality, afraid to embrace their inevitable fate. With Alfonso by his side, he plans to remake ECW in his own image, turning the ring into an altar where careers and lives are sacrificed.
